Jonas Jones was a lonely kid, he didn't have any friends and wasn't cared for all that much. He disappears from the real world.

Jonas appears in a cave and looks around.

Jonas looks around and sits up, having been in bed at the time he disappeared. The room was just warm enough to keep him from freezing.

Jonas: "Weird"

Jonas rubs his arm, he'd just gotten away from a beating at home when he'd gone to bed.

Jonas: "This is better then home atleast"

Jonas sighs. Suddenly a red creature runs up to Jonas.

"I've been waiting for you for so long!" The creature says.

Jonas: "Huh?" "Who are you?"

"I'm Guilmon." Guilmon says with a smile. "I'm your Digimon Partner."

Guilmon explains about Digimon before Jonas can ask what they were.

Guilmon and Jonas talk for a bit, getting to know each other.

"Want to learn a new trick?" Guilmon asks. "One that we share with only a few select other human and their Digimon partners?"

Guilmon takes Jonas's hands and picks him up onto his feet. Jonas is confused and then shocked as they start to glow.

Jonas: "Huh?"

Guilmon growls loudly as he disappears. Jonas's pajamas melt away. Jonas looks around confused but then gasps as he feels something clamp onto his tailbone and then a thump. Jonas looks back to see a long red tail.

Jonas looks at his feet as they start to to change, his toenails become longer and turn into claws as his feet change into red paws.

Jonas: "What's this?"

Jonas's now paws become larger and he becomes taller with the increase in size of his paws. Jonas's new tail thumps hard as this goes on. Jonas's legs become muscled and longer and thus making Jonas taller as the red fur travels up them.

Jonas: "This is weird"

Black patches appear on his feet and on his legs now, his tail had black patches too. Jonas's legs were now fully red with black rings at the top of them. Jonas's tail rises into the air now, his new height could handle the weight.

Jonas: "Wow"

Jonas's fingernails now lengthen into claws as the change starts on his hands. Jonas's hands turn into red paws now, as red fur appears on his hands. Jonas's arms grow longer as the fur travels up his arms, he was obviously not going to be a short creature, whatever he was becoming.

Jonas: "This is so weird"

Muscles were forming on his arms now as the fur reaches his Shoulders. Jonas's chest gets covered in white fur as his back and sides are covered in Red fur with black patches, he also becomes bigger in size and muscled. All but his neck and head were human.

Jonas: "Isn't it over soon"

Most of Jonas's neck soon become red while the front of it becomes white like his chest. Jonas walks over to a river in the cave and looks at himself.

Jonas's mouth feels strange and he opens it to reveal sharpened teeth.

Jonas blinks and his eyes change from his natural chocolate brown to yellow.

Jonas grunts as his face elongates into a muzzle and his teeth spread out. Red fur travels up to his head as his hair spreads down and becomes longer and turns white.

Jonas looks at himself in shock and backs off as he falls back, back as a human. Guilmon looks tired.

"My gift." Guilmon says. "Don't worry, it won't always take that long to transform. That was just for the first time. It's pretty much instant from now on."

Jonas looks woozy.

"Yeah..." Guilmon says.

Jonas throws up.

"That happens the first couple of times." Guilmon says.

Jonas stands up and looks at himself.

"It was Growlmon." Guilmon says. "My digivolved form. I'm cursed so that I can't reach it, unless I merge with a Human."
